Doing a self-drive tour gives you the freedom to explore at your own pace and stop wherever and whenever you want. Namibia is a vast country with much to see along the way. Choose your destinations and travel periods according to your budget and needs. Driving long distances is often required to get from one destination to another. Driving is part of the adventure. Namibia offers some spectacular landscapes with interesting stopovers and wildlife sightings along the way, but some stretches are long and monotonous. Try to pace your journey with plenty of stopovers, and enough time to rest and enjoy your stay at your destinations of choice.

Camping

Self-drive tours are more affordable compared to private guided tours. You can save even more if you decide to camp, or alternate between camping and accommodation. There are many great camping sites throughout Namibia, ranging from basic to luxury. We offer camping options on many of our vehicles, equipping you with rooftop tents and camping equipment to make it a convenient and comfortable experience.

Roads

Namibia has a good road infrastructure, including well-maintained tarred and gravel roads. A 4x4 vehicle is recommended for travel to more remote areas or if you are travelling far on gravel roads. All our vehicles are equipped with a spare tyre and we are available 24/7 to assist you should you need it. We can provide our clients with detailed route analysis reports to make their journey more efficient.
